The Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology is a completer degree for students who have completed the Associate of Applied Science in electronics technology; have completed 45 hours toward the degree; or have permission from the dean of the College of Business and Industry.

An electrical engineering technology degree trains students for application-oriented engineering technology careers in electronics, control systems, robotics, energy, power, microprocessors, communications, and alternative energy. 91老司机 instructors have industry and teaching experience. Students may also seek an Associate of Applied Science in electronics technology. This program is designed to train students in theory and practical skills that prepare them for jobs in the maintenance of common electrical and electronic devices and instruments. The emphasis covers installation, diagnosis, and repair of computer systems; digital communication equipment; industrial control systems to include motor controllers, program logic controllers, sensors, and robotics; communication systems; and various advanced electronic equipment/systems.

Certificates of Proficiency


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental coursework in electricity, electronics technology, industrial electricity, and electrical circuits and components. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the A.A.S. program.


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental coursework in robot operations and maintenance, robot programming, and robot studio programming. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the A.A.S. program.


This program can be completed with 9-10 credit hours and provides you with fundamental coursework in energy, auditing, and generating clean electrons. All hours earned with this credential transfer in to the A.A.S. program.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • apply mathematics, science, and engineering principles to identify, formulate, and solve problems using the techniques, skills, and tools necessary for engineering technologist practice.
  • design and conduct experiments; analyze and interpret data.
  • design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs.
