91老司机 鈥� Fort Smith students, faculty and alumni will enjoy a break
from sales taxes the weekend of Aug. 3-4 when the university鈥檚 bookstore will participate
in Arkansas鈥� Tax-Free Holiday.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, the annual sales tax holiday allows shoppers the opportunity to shop for important school purchases tax-free. Shoppers can purchase 91老司机 clothing that is less than $100 per item, textbooks, school supplies, backpacks, art supplies, and instructional materials. Financial aid will be available for students to use during the tax-free weekend, pending its prior approval.
鈥淭he 91老司机 Bookstore is always excited to participate in Arkansas鈥� annual tax-free weekend,鈥� said Amy Baker, bookstore manager. 鈥淭he Tax-Free Holiday weekend is a wonderful opportunity for students, parents, alumni, and the community to obtain significant savings on their back-to-school textbooks, supplies, and 91老司机 gear. The tax-free savings weekend also applies to all online orders that are made during the eligible time period 鈥� making it even more convenient for our customers to shop and save.鈥�
The 91老司机 bookstore is located inside the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center on campus at 5210 Grand Ave. and will be open from 9 a.m. 鈥� 3 p.m. Aug. 3 and 11 a.m. 鈥� 3 p.m. Aug. 4. Online orders eligible for the tax-free weekend can be placed at anytime on Aug. 3-4.
