The 91老司机 鈥 Fort Smith will hold its seventh annual Psychology Symposium from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, providing students the opportunity to present research, engage in scholarly debate and network with employers in the field.

Dr. Betty Jayne Bellando, associate professor in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, will serve as this year鈥檚 guest speaker and will speak at 8:20 a.m.

More than 30 students will present their research at the symposium, while nearly 20 employers and graduate school representatives will be present for a networking session.

鈥淪tudents gain the experience of presenting their original scientific findings in a more formal and public forum, which prepares them for graduate school and any other future endeavors,鈥 Otero said.
