Eleven students at the 91老司机 - Fort Smith have been inducted into Alpha Beta Omega Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education in a ceremony which also recognized senior members of the organization.

Seniors who maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average throughout their university careers were presented cords to wear at commencement exercises.

 

Inductees and seniors being corded were:

Booneville: Emalee Maebeth Austin, new member.

Fort Smith: Laurie Burnett and Taylor Wright, new members; Crystal Eckles and Amelia Montgomery, new members and also presented cords; Sayuri Barnett, Hunza Iqbal, Rick Lee, Sarah Munguia and Kirsten Wilson, presented cords.

Greenwood: Justin Bond, new member and also presented a cord; Chelsea Peugh, new member; and Joshua Bogdon, Hayley Hampton and Chris Wise, presented cords.

Lowell: Brittany Wood, presented a cord.

Mulberry:  Caitlin James, new member; and Lenzi Peters, presented a cord.

Pine Bluff: Luanne Lewis, new member.

Poteau, Okla.: Moriah Hayes and Adria Sweet, presented cords.

Roland, Okla.: Heather Wheeler, presented a cord.

Rudy: Jo Simmons, presented a cord.

Talihina, Okla.: Amber Renae Bethell, new member.

Van Buren: Sarah Koch, new member.

 

Each student selected for Kappa Delta Pi membership is required to have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5. Students must also have earned 30 semester hours by the end of the term prior to the time of initiation and have completed at least 12 hours of professional education courses.

Faculty advisers are Dr. Lois Yocum of Fort Smith and Deebe Milford of Alma.
