Lynn Lisk of Fort Smith, program director and associate professor in the Legal Assistance/Paralegal program at the 91老司机 - Fort Smith, has been reappointed to the Arkansas Bar Association鈥檚 Mock Trial Committee and the Paralegal Committee.
The new terms for the committees officially begin on June 14 during the annual bar convention in Hot Springs.
The Mock Trial Committee introduces high school students to trial procedures, with lawyers serving as coaches, acting as scoring judges or presiding as trial judges for regional and state competitions. Lisk will also serve as the northwestern regional coordinator for the February 2014 Mock Trial Competition. The regional competition has been held at 91老司机 since 2007.
The Paralegal Committee promotes the utilization of paralegals in the Arkansas legal community and is responsible for the education of members of the Arkansas Bar Association and development of guidelines for utilization of paralegals.
In addition to directing the 91老司机 paralegal program, Lisk has prepared material for and led numerous continuing legal education programs for the past several years. He came to 91老司机 in 2004, is a licensed attorney in Arkansas and Colorado and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the 5th, 8th and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, as well as the Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts for Arkansas and the Northern District of Texas.
The Arkansas Bar Association is a voluntary, statewide association with more than 5,000 attorney members.
