NUMAS Awards Honor 91ÀÏ˾»ú Students
Members of the 91ÀÏ˾»ú – Fort Smith campus community, from students to staff to registered student organizations, were recognized for their contributions to the university during the 20th annual NUMAS Awards ceremony held on Friday, May 5, 2023, in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center.
The Chancellor's Spirit Award, presented by Dr. Terisa Riley, the Chancellor of the 91ÀÏ˾»ú – Fort Smith, is the highest honor a current 91ÀÏ˾»ú student can receive, recognizing students who excel academically, have an established long-term record of service on campus, have made a significant impact on campus co-curricular life, display a strong sense of school pride and spirit, and embody an ethical leadership style that is an example for others.

Event of the Year: Lunar New Year by the Vietnamese Student Association
Best New Event: Campus Activities Board’s Campus Crawl
Lion Heart Service Award: Sadie Haury, of De Queen
Organization of the Year: Campus Activities Board
Student Leader of the Year: Braden Nguyen, of Fort Smith with Cub Camp & Psychology Club
Legacy Maker Award: Cub Camp
Star of Excellence Awards:

In addition to recognizing outstanding students organizations, the Greek Life and Leadership office at the 91ÀÏ˾»ú also honors its outstanding leaders at the NUMAS. During the Greek Life portion of the ceremony, students from the university’s seven fraternities and sororities are honored for their leadership, philanthropy, and other exemplary traits that foster personal growth, academic success, and a strong sense of community.
